ActivityPub seems to be gaining some traction lately, and I wanted to join in on the fun.

However I'm still not sure if I want to join a public instance and, to be honest, I'm tired of writing around character limits.

So, for now I'm setting up this microblog.pub instance. It has all the main things I was looking for:

• Single user instance/Simple setup
• No character limit
• RSS feeds
• Let's me follow other people

Will it last? Maybe not. Will I break federation due to a bad configuration? I'm sure I will.

Nevertheless, this looked like fun. Once things settle down I'll decide if I want to keep this or move to a public instance.
